Yakima and the Fall

It is fall and I swear I enjoy the garden winding down as much as spring when it is so exciting and growing.

We are just home from 4 days in Yakima visiting Skip's dad and stepmom. We stayed in a motel w/our dogs and Ryan. We all had a blast.

We just went out to the folks' place every day, hung out, cooked, made small talk, worked on our computers, then went back to the motel and hung out together.

Ate at Shari's four times, which Ryan thought was awesome. He would take 15 min to decide what to order and every single time it was always 3 eggs sunny-side-up easy, wheat toast, and either pancakes or hash browns. It was funny.

  1. I am quite taken with your Ryan stories...how blessed he is...how many "Ryans" there are that need you and Skip. What did you order at Shari's?

I remember going on a long trip with my Aunt Eleanor...to Cannon Beach from Seattle and back when I was young...I remember ordering the same thing on every menu from there to there...drove her sensibilities crazy...I could have had anything but all I wanted was fish and chips.

She used her Emeraude perfume as a bathroom deoderizer on the trip so I guess she got me back :O)

  2. Looks like you all had a fun time even the dogs looked like they did. The picture of dad, skip, and ryan was great. Dad, I am sure, was very glad to have you all there. It is amazing to me how much Ryan has grown!!! All that facial hair---Love to you---
