Shi and Penelope

Shiloh came home with me last Wednesday so I could take her straight to her gymnastics class at 6pm. She spent about an hour in the afternoon sitting on the couch watching cartoons with Penelope, our newest hen, on her lap. Penelope is the most-friendly chicken we have and I wish I had thought to grab the camera when they first sat down. Shiloh was giggling non-stop every time Penelope would peck the cookie to take a bite. She loved it that "it didn't hurt" when she missed the cookie and hit her hand instead. The chicken pecking is a very quick movement, but they had a great time together. This is at least 30 minutes after sitting down. they sat and enjoyed themselves while I got dinner together.

"Yea, we really need to stop getting sick. It's just one thing after another and it's all starting with Tristan. He is just such a messy boy it's almost impossible to keep him clean. And I'm not talking dirt that would be fine, I'm talking food and drooling and runny nose that he just smears all over his face and rest of his body! He honestly is the messiest kid I've ever seen.
Shiloh said today on our way back from school that Tristan is just like Daddy's truck, loud, dirty and rusty. And right after that she started singing "Hey baby... I think I wanna marry you."
Sometimes I'm just at a loss of words.... speechless. Lol. "
